Examination rules:
1. Degree Course comprises of 6 semesters to be completed in 3 years.
2. 25% weightage will be given to internal assessment & 75% weightage to the semester examination.
3. The standard of passing for all exams is as follows:
B.A./B.Com. | 35% | BCA/BMS/BMM/ B.Sc. (Home Science) | 40% |

4. Students shall pass internal examination and external examination separately. Unless student pass in internal examination she will not be allowed to appear in external /semesters end examinations (75 marks exam)
5. There will be college examination in first years and university examination in second and third years.
6. Admission to II, IV and VI semester will be automatic.
7. For B.A and B.Com: A student is promoted from first year to second year, provided that the total number of credits in which she has failed does not exceed 40% of the total subjects and second year to third year does not exceed 20% of total subjects taken first, second, third and fourth semester together.
8. For B.Sc./BMM/BMS/BCA: A student has to clear first year and has not failed in more than 40% of total subjects in second year eligible for admission in third year.
9. 75% attendance is mandatory to appear for the final / semester end / external examination even for medical cases 50% attendance is mandatory. If attendance rules are not fulfilled, student will not be allowed to appear for examination.
Functions of Examination Section
It is one of the duties of the University to hold examinations and confer the degrees and post-graduate diplomas and also to award post higher secondary diplomas and certificates and other academic distinction on persons who fulfill the requisite qualification/conditions. The Examination Section of the University therefore is the backbone of the University. The entire work of examinations is being govern by different provisions of the Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994, Statutes, Ordinances and Rules and Regulations made therein by the authorities of the University. The Examination Department is mainly deal with the appointment of paper setters, Examiners,Moderators, senior supervisors, preparation and publication of schedule of examinations, conduct of examinations, to get performance of the candidates at the examinations properly assessed and timely declaration of results and awarding degrees, diplomas and certificates. For the purpose of simplification, smooth and easier functioning the work of Examination.
The Department is divided into following the parts, on functional basis:
Pre-Examination work:
- To prepare schedule of Examinations (Under Section 71 of Maharashtra Universities Act,1994)
- To appoint Paper-setters, Examiners.
- To Vigilance Squads (Under Section 32(8)
- To appoint Directors of Central Assessment Programme, fix of venue of Central Assessment
Programme, seating Arrangement of students
- To prepare Examinations Programmes of all the Examinations (Time Table); making arrangement for advances to the colleges and University Departments.
- To distribute Stationery to the concerned Centers, distribution of Question papers to the examination Centers etc.
Actual Conductance of Examination and Preparation of Results:
- To make arrangement for Vigilance Squads
- To visit various examinations centres
- To make arrangement to collect the answer books from the various examinations centres
- To get the answer books to assessed by the examiners/moderators
- To receive the report of the Unfair means cases reported by the vigilance squads from the examination centres
- To receive the Practical examinations, Mark lists from the concerned Chairman, examination Centres
- To carry out the work of an assessment of answer books , collecting mark lists/C.D. of mark lists from the Central Assessment Programme and the examiners
- To process the result on Computers / Manually
- To declare the results of various examinations, to send the result etc.to the colleges concerned
Post Examination work
- To receive the verification and Revaluation forms from the colleges/Students
- To make the arrangement for the verification and revaluation of answer books
- To send the result of verification and revaluation to the colleges/Students
- To receive application for degrees, diplomas and Certificates
- To make the arrangement for distribution of degrees, diplomas and certificates
- To make arrangement of the answer books received from the examination centers /CAP and preserve the record of examination
- To issue Duplicate mark lists , Transcript, Ranking Certificates
- To deal with the cases of Unfair means, lapses on the part of the students and teachers respectively
- To issue revised mark-sheets on the basis of change in revaluation etc
- To make available the statistical/other examination information to the Honorable
Chancellor’s office/UGC/State Government form time to time
To perform the work pertaining to examinations such as appointment of Paper setters, Examiners, Moderators, Senior Supervisors preparation and publication of schedule of examinations conduct of examinations, to get performance of candidates at the examinations properly assessed and timely declaration of results and awarding degrees, diplomas and Certificates. The examination Department has following section as per examination of the particular faculty/subjects.
