Report on Activity on Celebration of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and honor 75 years of progressive India and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements. This Mahotsav is dedicated to the people of India who have not only been contributory in bringing India thus far in its evolutionary journey but also hold within them the power and potential to enable Prime Minister Modi’s vision of activating India 2.0, fuelled by the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
As a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav towards the celebration and remembrance of 75 years of Independence, Nazia Qureshi from Dept. of Commerce and Sariya Tase from Department of DMLT of Aqsa Women’s Degree College organized a face painting and Ramp walk based on patriotic theme on 19th September 2022, Program started in the morning sharp 9:00 am and continued till 12:30 pm at college auditorium along with the judges for Face Painting- Shagufta Madoo from Commerce Department and Nadera Momin from Department of DMLT of Aqsa Women’s Degree College, and for a ramp walk-Dr.Shifa Vinchu, Dr.Ayesha Shaikh from Zoology department and Momin Fareha from Chemistry department of Aqsa Women’s Degree College.
In the light of Azadi ka Mahotsav, Participants took part pro-actively in the Mahotsav by conducting ramp walk competition and face painting event related to the freedom struggle, ideas, achievements and actions so in that way students absorbed the magnitude of sacrifices of nation for its independence.

Nail Art Competition

Topic: -Nail Art Competition on the occasion of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav

Beneficiaries: – Students of all faculty
“Art connects what words cannot”, keeping the same ideal at the forefront, Cultural Department and IQAC had organized a Nail Art competition on the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav on 15th October, 2022 at 9:00 am. Ms. Momin Nargis (Assistant lecturer of English) and Ms. Sariya Tase (Assisstant lecturer of DMLT Dept.) were in charge of the competition. Entries were received from all faculties. The participants gathered sharp at 9:00 am in the Zoology laboratory. Each participant had their friends as a model to execute the nail art. The participants enthusiastically participated in the competition. Ms Don Sana (Assistant professor of Culinary Skills for Entrepreneurship) and Ms Shaima Moallim (Assistant Professor of Sociology) were invited to judge the event and the results are as following:

3rd Prize Shaikh Aqsa S.Y.D.M.L.T.
The competition enhanced the inquisitiveness of the students thereby building
confidence, mental prowess, and learning at the same time.
