The final year students of Arts, science and Commerce of Aqsa Women’s Degree College had the opportunity of part taking in a one day Career Orientation Program held in the college auditorium on
16th January, 2020 i.e. on Thursday. The program was organized by the Commerce Department under IQAC in collaboration with Sandeep Academy. The main objective of the seminar was to gain an understanding of the students of their own interest, ability, aptitude and strengths and to gain valuable career information.
Session began at 11.00 a.m. during the session Mr.Devendra Akoliya educated the students to understand themselves first in terms of their interest and abilities and what do they expect from their education and career. He advised the students to be organized and make appropriate decisions while choosing the career. He also told the students to identify the factors which influence their career choices and act accordingly.
Overall the entire program helped the students to have a better understanding of the opportunities that could be available in future.

Field Visit Report

To undertake the environmental studies field work, which is a part of the syllabus visit was organized by the Commerce department of Aqsa Women’s Degree College on 4th Jan, 2020 i.e. on Saturday at Hanging Garden at Malabar Hill, Mumbai. The total no of 10 students were taken for the field visit.
The purpose of the field visit was to study the ecosystem in the garden as the process of ecosystem start with the producers (plants) and make the students aware of flora and fauna of the garden.
For each of the studies the students were eagerly taking the photographs which would help them in preparing the report. The event went well and it was a great learning experience for the students.

Aim:Gap Classes / analysis conducted to obtained important information about key area to focus on teaching – learning process to improve the quality of students.
Objective:
- Improving the outcomes for students receiving special education programme and services.

The Commerce Department of Aqsa Women’s Degree college organized a guest lecture programme on 28thDecember, 2019. The lecture was addressed by Ms.sumaiya Momin, from Diebold Nixford pvt ltd, Thane. The topic of the lecture was “World Trade Organiazation”. Ms.Sumaiya Momin, not only gave lecture on WTO but also introduce the students to the corporate world. she had a long discussion about the TIRPS,TRIMS AND GATT Agreement with the students. In the second part, he highlighted some important points on WTO and its uses in world trade.. The lecture was very informative and interactive and the students were able to know about the various aspects of WTO.

A Career Guidance Lecture was organised by the NSS UNIT in collabarition with commerce department under IQAC,on 02nd march 2020.Mr sagar Bhanushali ( lect. Of MBA )was the eminent speaker.. The event had a great response of more than 48 students from all the faculties
The event was an attempt to enlighten the final year students registered for placements about choosing their career after graduation. Mr sagar Bhanushali shared with students his experience and also gave the students a realistic view of the corporate world. He also guided the students regarding the lessons he learnt as fresh graduate just out of college and how he dealt with the difficulties he faced. He shared his experiences with his job and the philosophies he learnt throughout his career.
Mr sagar Bhanushali answered all the questions asked by the students with unbiased and realistic approach.

The Commerce Department of Aqsa Women’s Degree college organized a Power Point Presentation on 11thJanuary, 2020.Students actively participated and presented their respected topics in detail.
The competition was a good opportunity to display the collaborative efforts of students from different faculty. It brought forth a lovely amalgamation of intelligence, research, and creativity. Not only the students have to gather information on the topic but also find innovative ways of putting them across.
The PPT’s encompassed a variety of topic namely:
1) Nano particles
2) Balance diet and its relation to our health
3) Green Revolution
4) Evolution of Artificial intelligence
5) Women Entrepreneurs
The winners of the competition were as follows:

The department of Commerce organized a seminar, the topic of the seminar was theories of International Trade.
The topics were from Economics –International Trade and business. The seminar was given by Asst. lecturer Ms. Shaikh Eram with the of videos.
The purpose of the seminar was to bring interest amongst the student and to encourage them to promote discussion, compare alternative study designs ,and let them understand the theories with a new way of video seminar and foster the development of new sources.
.. Sessions were organized around common themes, to facilitate discussions and the emergence of new, revised methods of teaching. The topics discussed were:
- David Ricardo’s comparative Cost Advantages
- Heckscher – Ohlin’s Modern Theory of International Trade.
Approximately 05 students attended the seminar from S.Y.B.COM. The seminar was well concluded by the question and answer session between the atudents and the lecturer.
