According to Francis Bacon, travelling is a part of education. An excursion is not just a pleasure trip; it enhances the knowledge of students beyond the four walls of the classroom. To provide such an enriching knowledge, Aqsa Women’s Degree College organized an excursion trip to ‘Hanging Garden and Zuhu Beach’ to study the natural surroundings and effects of human activities.

On 4th January, 2020, 50 students along with 4 lecturers went for an excursion trip to ‘Hanging Garden’ with an aim to study and observe the environment. An excursion trip was for F.Y.B.A students for their F.C subject and was also in collaboration with Commerce Department.

Objectives:

The main objective of an excursion is to study the detail of environment and observe the changes and pollution that is affecting the environment.

Field observation: 

The class of F.Y.B.A was divided into 5 groups and each group is having their own topic to work on it. Each group work according to their topic given by the lecturer. During the visit each group jotted down the important factors about the environment and their causes for pollutions on environment.

The students developed a love for nature and understand the serene beauty of the nature. It also helps them to understand that the conservation of environment is extremely important. The natural surrounding of the ‘Hanging Garden’ provides the students the solace and tranquility that is escape from their nerve-wrecking hectic schedule.

Our trip ended on 6: pm, the trip was successful and we believe that our objective was achieved. Through excursion we learned something new and beneficial.
